“FitJoy began as a passion project by the company’s CEO, who, after being diagnosed with Celiac and a severe sensitivity to artificial sweeteners, wanted to develop a brand of on-the-go snacks that offered a gourmet taste experience that would excite his inner foodie without interfering with his health.”
As I ate each bar, I made note of my impressions regarding the taste and texture, and when I remembered, I took a photo. I’ve rated my favorites below. Try them all yourself and see what you think!

This bar tastes like the Winter Peppermint Bark but not quite as strong, mint-wise. It’s closer to a Thin Mint or mint Girl Guide cookie. It has a mild peppermint flavor and a chewy cake texture but the two go well together, unlike the Winter Peppermint Bark. There were crisps in this bar but I didn’t notice them very much when chewing at all. This bar is OK but not my favorite.

Nice, even chewy texture. No grit or powder. I am a connoiseur of cinnamon rolls and this bar does actually have the flavor of a good roll. There are bits of pecans on top and what kind of looks like caramel and frosting, which has the sensation of frosting melting in your mouth when it hits the saliva. You don’t really notice the pecan bits as you’re chewing but that subtle flavor enhances the overall experience of eating this bar.

This bar tastes like a thin mint or a candy cane. It has a very strong peppermint flavor however the texture is like a chewy cake. At least the texture isn’t gritty, it’s just a dense, nicely chewy bar however I don’t find the taste matches the texture and it threw me off a bit. I don’t really like this bar.

You can order FitJoy bars on FitJoyNutrition.com for $27.99USD per box, or if you’re local to Halifax, Nova Scotia, I was able to find them at Popeye’s for $3.69CAD each. Boxes of 12 were also available for you to mix and match and save. They didn’t have all of the flavors I received for review but they do have the Birthday Cake Batter, Chocolate Iced Brownie, Vanilla Almond and a couple more so run on down and get some before they’re all gone!
Happy New Year!
